Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are hair-thin and very sharp which makes the insertion of it virtually painless. You might feel a very mild sensation on points located on hands and feet.

Where would you place the needles?

There are acupuncture points all over the body. However, most points utilized in traditional Chinese acupuncture are on the extremities. Points on the abdomen and back are often used as well.

How long does the treatment last?

The initial visit takes about one and half hours. Follow-up treatments are about 50 minutes.

How many treatments would I need?

Just as antibiotic treatments and physical therapy, more than one session is often needed to improve or resolved your condition. In general, acute conditions and symptoms could take between four to eight treatments to achieve significant results, while chronic conditions may take months of treatments to resolve.
